In Bihar, a joint team of Patna and Delhi crime branch arrested a junior resident doctor at Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH) for his alleged involvement in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) question paper leak this year.

The accused doctor has been identified as Jan Mehta who hails from Madhepura district of the state. He is a postgraduate student in radiology department of PMCH. Patna SSP Manu Maharaj told AIR that Mehta was taken to the local police station for completing formalities before handing over to the Delhi police on transit and for production in court.

The arrested doctor had charged huge sum of money from candidates for solving questions. Police sources said Mehta was one of the kingpins who had got access to some NEET examination centres in connivance with officials and solved questions for candidates through internet. He was also allegedly involved in Punjab PMT question paper leak last year.
