In Assam, flood waters have thrown life out of gear in many districts. As per report, incessant rains and breach in river embankments have inundated 740 villages in 13 districts.
Nearly 15 thousand hectares of crop land has been submerged in floods. Surging water damaged roads, bridges , culvert at many places.
3 lakh 55 thousand people have been affected due to flood. Over 2 lakh people affected in Karimganj district alone.
Administrations have provided shelter to 21 thousand people at four districts. Food items like rice, dal, salt, mustard oil are being distributed by the administration.
