Asserting that all security arrangements are in place, Special DG CRPF S N Srivastva on Tuesday said that satellites and drones would monitor this year’s annual Amarnath Yatra commencing from 29th of this month.
The special DG was interacting with media persons in Jammu while taking a stock of arrangements made at the Bhagwati Nagar based Yatri Niwas–the base camp for Amarnath pilgrims.
He said that in the wake of the prevailing situation of the State particularly Kashmir Valley, foolproof security arrangements have been put in place. He added that forces are fully prepared to meet any eventuality. The special DG appealed to the people to come in large numbers and without any fear participate in annual pilgrimage. The first batch will leave from Jammu on Wednesday morning.
