In accordance with the order issued by the High Court on improving the salary of ST employees, a high authority committee was set up by the state government last evening.
The 5 member committee comprise of the Principal Secretary, Transportation, Principal Secretary Finance, Vice President, MD of The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC), Transport Commissioner and Labor Commissioner.
The committee will study the existing pay scale and recommend fixing the salary and allowances of the employees of the corporation.
According to the High Court order, the committee will consider revising the interim pay of ST employees till 15 November 2017. It will also present its final conclusions by December 22, 2017.
