5 feared dead in cloudburst in Himachal Pradesh

In Himachal Pradesh, at least 5 people are feared dead in a cloud burst incident that occurred at midnight last night. The incident happened in Urla area of Mandi district where two buses passing through Pathankot-Manali National Highway were washed away in the muddy water of cloud burst. Some of the injured have been admitted to Zonal hospital Mandi.

Meanwhile, the army and NDRF personnel with other rescue teams are searching the whole area of Urla under Paddhar Police Station for bodies’ buried under the debris. This area has been full of heavy mud and debris due to landslides which occurred after cloud burst in Kotropi Nallah in the mid night. Officials who are supervising the rescue operation, said, it is quite a tough task for rescue teams because the whole area has been covered with several feet mud and big boulders. The authorities have diverted the traffic from both sides of the National Highway.
