44 bus stations to be developed to strengthen public transport system: UP CM

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today said, in view of strengthening the public transport system in the state, 44 bus stations will be developed with modern amenities.

Addressing a function in Lucknow after inaugurating a world-class bus terminal, he said 23 bus stations, workshops and bus yards will be developed by the State Transport Corporation with its own resource and 21 will be developed on PPP model.

He said UP government has signed MoUs with several neighbouring states including Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir to increase inter state bus connectivity. He process is also underway with many other states.
