In Uttar Pradesh, Ganga Cleanliness Resolution Day is being observed today in 15 cities and 985 villages situated on the banks of the river. In order to make the programme successful, Chief Secretary Rahul Bhatnagar had instructed all the concerned district magistrates and officials.

Meetings with Gram pradhans, Rallies, Nukkad Nataks, and cultural progerammes are being organised for mass awareness regarding cleanliness.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, at a programme in Lucknow, said that the previous government did no work on Namami Gange Yojana.
