4 dead consuming illicit liquor in alcohol-ban-state Bihar

In Bihar, four people were killed and two others are stated to be critical after consuming illicit liquor in Rohtash district of the state. The incident occurred at Danwar village under Kachchawa police station of the district.

The Deputy Inspector General of Police Mohammad Rahman told AIR in charge of the police station has been suspended. He said a strict action will be taken against excise department officials after an investigation.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has ordered the inquiry into the incident. Mr.Kumar asked concerned authorities to submit it’s reported immediately.The DIG along with the District Magistrate and the Superintendent of Police reached the spot to take stock of the situation. There is a complete ban on consumption of alcohol in Bihar.
