State-Level Training for Prosecution Officers on Effective Implementation of New Laws

Raipur, August 24
A one-day state-level training program was organized today in the auditorium of Mahanadi Mantralaya Bhawan, Nava Raipur, to train prosecution officers on the effective implementation of newly introduced laws.
On this occasion, Shri Arun Dev Gautam, Director General, Directorate of Public Prosecution, Chhattisgarh, was present as the chief guest.
Additional Sessions Judges from Raipur, Shri Vinay Kumar Pradhan and Shri Shailesh Sharma, provided guidance on topics related to the implementation of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) (Indian Civil Protection Code). Through video conferencing, Judge Pradhan and Additional Secretary, Law and Legislative Affairs, Shri Chandra Kumar Kashyap offered detailed insights on evidence examination, procedural complexities, and the implementation aspects of the new laws.
Additional Secretary Shri Kashyap and Additional Director of Public Prosecution Shri K.S. Gavaskar highlighted the basis for filing appeals and revisions as well as related administrative procedures.
Mr. Pravesh Rajput, Assistant Professor at Hidayatullah National Law University, conducted a training session on new provisions introduced under the new criminal laws and aspects related to their practical enforcement. Officers attending the training also had their questions and concerns addressed during the session.
The state-level training was attended by Joint Directors, Deputy Directors, Assistant Directors, and Assistant District Prosecution Officers of the Prosecution Department. The program was organized by the Directorate of Public Prosecution, Nava Raipur.
