State Election Commissioner Ajay Singh reviewed election system in Surajpur

Raipur, January 30

Chhattisgarh State Election Commissioner Shri Ajay Singh today visited Surajpur district under the Urban Body and Three-Tier Panchayat General Elections 2025.

On the occassion, he reviewed the ongoing preparations in the district regarding the elections.

State Election Commissioner Singh started the inspection from Shaskiya Uchchatar Madhyamik Vidyalaya Jayanagar polling station and asked to ensure all necessary arrangements.

After this, Singh inspected the EVM demo machine display running at Bishrampur bus stand. There, he asked the EVM machine demonstrator to focus more on ensuring that the general public present gets maximum hands-on experience, i.e., practical experience, with the machine available for demo on the spot.

He invited the prospective voters present to use the EVM demo machine in front of them to exercise their right to vote. Along with this, he instructed the demonstrator to use simple language about the EVM demo machine so that the common people can easily get acquainted with the machine and can successfully exercise their right to vote.

After this, Election Commissioner Shri Singh took stock of the security arrangements of the strong room built in ITI and other arrangements related to the election. Along with this, necessary directions were given by him to the election related officials present there. Under the Jabo Voter Awareness Program at Shaskiya Kanya Uchchatar Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Nawapara, letters were written by the students of the school to their parents and other known members of the family. On this occasion, the State Election Commissioner present there praised this initiative of the school girls and addressed them as aware voters of the future. Along with this, a bike rally was also taken out from the District Joint Office under the voter awareness campaign. Which the State Election Commissioner flagged off from the District Joint Office to the Stadium Ground.

On this occasion, Surguja Division Commissioner Shri Narendra Kumar Dugga, Nodal Officer Municipality/Panchayat Election (Police) Shri OP Pal, IG Shri Ankit Garg, Election Commission Secretary Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure, Collector and District Election Officer Shri S. Jayvardhan, District Panchayat CEO Smt. Kamlesh Nandini Sahu, Deputy District Election Officer Shri Jagannath Verma, Deputy Secretary of Chhattisgarh State Election Commission Shri Alok Kumar Srivastava, Under Secretary Shri Pranay Kumar Verma, Deputy Director (Public Relations) Shri Laxmikant Kosaria and Private Secretary to the State Election Commissioner Shri Balram Dewangan and other concerned officers were present.
