PV Sindhu bows out of All England Open tournament

In Badminton, PV Sindhu has bowed out of the All England Open tournament after losing the semi-final against Akane Yamaguchi of Japan in Birmingham last night.

The Rio Olympic Silver medalist, seeded fourth, lost to second seed Yamaguchi 21-19, 19-21, 18-21 in the match that lasted for an hour and 19 minutes.

Yamaguchi will take on World number one and Defending Champion Tai Tzu Ying of Chinese Taipei in the final today.

With the loss, Indian challenge has ended in the tournament as other Indian shuttlers have already crashed out at various stages.
