New Zealand beat India by 40 runs in the second T-20 International to level the three-match series 1-1 at Rajkot last night. Batting first, New Zealand scored 196 for 2 riding on Colin Munro’s unbeaten 109 off 58 balls.

In reply, only skipper Virat Kohli looked in good touch with 65 off 42 balls as India were restricted to 156 for 7. The last T20 match is scheduled at Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday.

India captain Virat Kohli blamed a poor batting by his team mates for the defeat. He said, we were not good enough with the bat.

Kohli said, when you’re chasing 200, all the batsmen need to chip in, or one batsman has to keeping going at a 200 strike-rate. He, however, asserted that the Indians are determined to recover from last night’s setback and go on to win the series.
