
A dominant India recorded a comprehensive 90-44 victory over Nepal in the fourth and final round robin encounter of the South Asian Basketball Association (SABA) Championship at Male last evening.
India’s veteran shooting guard Vishesh Bhriguvanshi continued his scoring spree as he tallied 22 points in the encounter and was declared player of the match for a second time in two days. The win against Nepal was India’s fourth straight win at the Championship.
India have now ensured qualification in the upcoming FIBA Asia Cup in Lebanon from August 8 to 20, and the FIBA Asia Champions Cup respectively.
