FIFA World cup: Iceland hold Argentina to 1- 1 draw

In Football World Cup, Croatia defeated Nigeria 2-0 at Kaliningrad last night. In the Group D encounter, Nigerian Oghenekaro Etebo’s sameside goal gave Croatia 1-0 lead at the half-time. Luka Modric converted the penalty to make it 2-0 for Croatia at 71st minute.

Earlier, Denmark defeated Peru 1-0 in a Group C match at Mordovia Arena of Saransk in Russia. France defeated Australia 2-1 in their Group C campaign at Kazan. Paul Pogba of France did a victory goal at 80th minute.

In another Group D encounter, on their debut in the FIFA World Cup Iceland hold Argentina to 1- 1 draw. Sergio Aguero scored a superb opener for Argentina and Alfred Finnbogason levelled for the Iceland just minutes later.

Today, Costarica will take on Serbia in a group E encounter at 5.30 PM while Germany will clash with Mexixco in a Group F match at Luzhiniki Stadium in Moscow. In an another group E match Brazil will take on Switzerland at 9 PM.
