Bhubaneswar to host 2017 Men’s Hockey World League final

Bhubaneswar will host 2017 Men’s Hockey World League final and the 2018 Men’s Hockey World Cup. The International Hockey Federation (FIH) and the government of Odisha confirmed this today.

According to the FIH’s official statement Odisha will be the title sponsor of both events. Accordingly, the official event titles will be the Odisha Men’s Hockey World League Final Bhubaneswar 2017 and the Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup Bhubaneswar 2018, FIH statement said.

The Men’s Hockey World League Final, involving eight of World’s best teams including hosts India, will be played between December 1 to December 10, 2017. The World Cup is scheduled between November 28 to December 16, 2018 and will see 15 teams in action.
