MC Mary Kom will play her semi-final bout of the Asian Women’s Boxing Championships at Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam today.
The five-time world champion and Olympic bronze medallist will take on Japan’s Tsubasa Komura in the 48 kg category.
Mary Kom, who is assured of a Bronze medal, had won 4 Gold and a Silver in her five previous appearances at the event, and will be looking to add another coveted yellow metal to her kitty.
Besides Mary Kom, former world champion L Sarita Devi in the 64 kg category, Sonia Lather in 57 kgs, Shiksha in 54 kgs, Priyanka Chaudhary in 60 kgs and Lovlina Borgohain in the 69 kg division will be seen in action in the semi-finals.
