
In Women’s Hockey, India played out a 1-1 draw against South Korea in their final round-robin match of the Asian Champions Trophy at Donghae City. The hosts drew first blood after Cheon scored in the 20th minute. Lalremsiami, then, brought defending champions India on level terms with a goal in the 49th minute.
The match can be seen as a warm up to tomorrow’s Final, as both teams have made it to the summit clash. The Indian eves, led by defender Sunita Lakra, are unbeaten in the tournament so far, and are at the top of the 5-nation table with 10 points.
South Korea are also unbeaten but are second with 8 points. China and Malaysia will face each other in the third-place play-off tomorrow.
Japan ended the round-robin stage at the bottom with just 1 point.
