Spesker Raman Singh Inspects Under-Construction New Assembly Building with MLAs

Raipur, February 24

Speaker of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, Dr. Raman Singh, today inspected the under-construction New Assembly Building at Nava Raipur, Atal Nagar. During the visit, he held discussions with Public Works Department (PWD) officials regarding the progress of various construction works and provided necessary instructions.

Dr. Raman Singh reviewed the progress of key sections of the building, including the Assembly Hall, Secretariat, Chief Minister’s Office, Speaker’s Office, Deputy Speaker’s Office, Leader of Opposition’s Office, Central Hall, and Library. He also assessed the status of other critical areas, such as ministerial offices, meeting halls, lounges, canteen, auditorium, and other essential chambers under construction.

Modern & State-of-the-Art Assembly Building for Chhattisgarh
Dr. Raman Singh emphasized that the new Assembly building in Nava Raipur will not only be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities but will also reflect Chhattisgarh’s rich democratic traditions. He directed the officials to ensure top-notch quality in construction while adhering to the set timeline.

He further stated that this new facility will strengthen the state’s democratic system by providing modern infrastructure to facilitate legislative functions efficiently.

The inspection was attended by Leader of Opposition Dr. Charan Das Mahant, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, Food Minister Dayaldas Baghel, Forest & Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kedar Kashyap, Industries Minister Lakhanlal Dewangan, Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary, Women & Child Development Minister Lakshmi Rajwade, Revenue Minister Tankaram Verma, as well as other ministers, MLAs, senior officials from the Assembly Secretariat, and PWD officials.
