Raipur, 18 November

In a significant step towards enhancing convenience for pensioners, the State Government has launched a special campaign for the submission of Digital Life Certificates (DLC) throughout the month of November. The initiative marks a major shift towards hassle-free, technology-enabled services, ensuring that pensioners no longer need to visit their original bank branch to complete this mandatory annual process. They may now submit their DLC at any bank of their choice or do so from home using the “Jeevan Pramaan” mobile app or the official website https://jeevanpramaan.gov.in.

This facility has been made available to all pensioners in the state as per the guidelines issued by the Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Government of India, New Delhi, and the Directorate of Pension & Provident Fund, Government of Chhattisgarh.

Smt. Padmini Bhoi Sahu, Director, Pension & Provident Fund, Chhattisgarh, Raipur, has issued detailed instructions to all banks and district treasuries. In a meeting with bank officials, she directed that the maximum number of pensioners’ DLCs must be collected before the pension disbursement date in November to ensure that no pensioner faces any disruption in receiving their dues.

In compliance with these instructions, the State Bank of India and several other banks are organising special camps across various cities under the “Digital Life Certificate Mission 4.0.” These camps will collect DLCs using facial authentication technology, making the process quicker and more accessible, especially for elderly pensioners.

As per Government of India guidelines, all banks are now responsible for generating Digital Life Certificates for any pensioner visiting their branch, irrespective of the bank or branch where the pensioner holds an account.

All pensioners are urged to take full advantage of this facility and submit their Life Certificate in time to ensure the uninterrupted continuation of their pension.
