Simplification of Rules for the Development of Integrated Suburbs in Naya Raipur Atal Nagar

In an initiative by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, existing rules have been made simpler and more practical to encourage the development of integrated suburbs in Layer 2 of Naya Raipur Atal Nagar.
This step has been taken to boost settlement and investment in the region. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that this change will ensure that the development of these essential facilities can be done more effectively within the suburb.
He said that the main objective of the reforms is to accelerate the development of integrated suburbs in Layer 2 of Naya Raipur Atal Nagar and promote settlement in the region. This step is a significant initiative towards improving the quality of life of citizens and developing the region as an ideal urban center.
Finance Minister Shri OP Chaudhary said that the area reserved for social facilities such as health, education, community buildings, and religious places has been reduced to a minimum of 5%, which was previously a maximum of 5%. Moreover, prioritizing residential activities, the previously fixed maximum area of 50% has been changed and now a minimum of 50% area has been made mandatory for residential use. This will help in providing affordable housing to the common people and will provide better housing facilities to the people.
The provisions related to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) have been improved in line with the notifications/rules of the Urban Administration and Development Department to bring uniformity in these rules. Also, keeping in mind environmental protection and public health, solid waste management, rainwater harvesting, and sewage treatment plants have been made mandatory in integrated suburbs.
Under the Chhattisgarh Land Development Rules 1984, a provision has been made to reserve 10% of the area for open spaces such as gardens and playgrounds.
