Raipur, June 13

The new academic session in Chhattisgarh is set to begin on June 16, 2025. On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has written a letter to all public representatives of the state, urging them to actively participate in the “School Admission Festival” (Shala Pravesh Utsav). The event aims to strengthen the education system and ensure 100% school enrollment of children across the state.

In his letter, the Chief Minister stated that while achieving 100% literacy in the state is a challenging goal, it is not impossible. He emphasized that collective efforts from all sections of society are essential to turn this dream into reality. The first step, he noted, is to ensure that no child is left out of school and that timely enrollment is guaranteed for every student.

The Chief Minister also highlighted that the Right to Education Act is in effect in the state, and under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the goal is to gradually reduce the school dropout rate to zero up to Class 12. He stressed that identifying and removing barriers to education is a shared responsibility of all stakeholders.

Chief Minister’s Education Quality Campaign: A Concrete Step
Shri Sai announced the launch of the “Chief Minister’s Education Quality Campaign”, aimed at improving the academic quality in government schools. As part of this initiative, the government has rationalized the deployment of teachers, ensuring that no school remains without a teacher, and that single-teacher schools are prioritized for staffing—ensuring every child receives their right to education.

Infrastructure Development a Top Government Priority
The Chief Minister further clarified that developing infrastructure and basic facilities in the school education sector is among the government’s top priorities. He appealed to all public representatives to personally engage in the School Admission Festival in their respective constituencies and ensure that no child is left out of school.

A Better Future Through Social Participation
CM Sai stated, “We created it, and we shall shape it,” highlighting the need for collective and result-oriented action. He expressed hope that public representatives would take leadership roles in this campaign, fulfill their social responsibilities, and help transform Chhattisgarh into an educated, empowered, and self-reliant state.

Turning the Admission Festival into a People’s Movement
The Chief Minister’s letter is being seen as a call to action, marking the start of a mass movement for education in the state. This initiative is expected not only to improve school access for children but also to enhance education quality and foster greater community involvement. With this effort, Chhattisgarh is poised to set a new benchmark in education and accelerate social and economic empowerment through learning.
