Sao Urges Newly Elected Mayor and Councilors to Work with Determination to Make the City Clean, Beautiful, and Well-Equipped

The swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected Mayor and Councilors of Jagdalpur Municipal Corporation was held today in the esteemed presence of Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Urban Administration and Development, Shri Arun Sao. The event was also attended by Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, MP Shri Mahesh Kashyap, and MLAs Shri Kiran Dev, Shri Vinayak Goyal, Shri Neelkanth Tikam, and Shri Chaitram Atami.
Bastar Collector Shri Harish S. administered the oath to Mayor Shri Sanjay Pandey and all newly elected councilors at the ceremony held in the premises of Maa Danteshwari Temple in Jagdalpur.
As the chief guest, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao congratulated all the newly elected representatives and expressed confidence that the new Mayor and Councilors would fulfill every promise made in the “Atal Vishwas Patra” and work with determination to make Jagdalpur a clean, beautiful, and well-equipped city. He assured that the state government would provide full support for the city’s development.
Addressing the gathering, Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap stated that in the past 15 months, the state government has carried out development projects worth over ₹7,500 crore in urban local bodies. He also mentioned that infrastructure worth over ₹82 crore is being developed in Jagdalpur. He emphasized that future development initiatives will be planned, keeping in mind the city’s needs for the next 50 years.
MP Shri Mahesh Kashyap and MLA Shri Kiran Dev also addressed the ceremony, assuring all possible efforts for the comprehensive development of Jagdalpur. The event witnessed the presence of several public representatives and dignitaries, including Shri Kamalchandra Bhanjdev of the Bastar royal family.
