Samadhan Shivir Symbolizes Accountability and Public Service– Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai

Durg, May 20
“The role of the government is not just to create schemes, but to ensure their benefits reach the last person in the queue. When we organize Samadhan Shivirs (Public Grievance Redressal Camps) in every village, it proves our commitment and accountability,” said Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai while addressing a Samadhan Shivir held in Gram Panchayat Murmunda of Dhamdha Block, Durg district.
The Chief Minister emphasized that Samadhan Shivir is not just a government event, but a living testimony of administrative responsibility towards the people. He noted that after completing one year in office, his government presented a report card to the public, and now, after 1.5 years, they are once again reporting directly to the people. Durg marks the 19th district visited by the Chief Minister as part of the Su-Shasan Tihar (Good Governance Festival). He expressed satisfaction from public feedback and said the impact of government initiatives over the past 18 months is clearly reaching the people.
At the Murmunda camp, 2,630 applications were received, out of which 2,539 cases were resolved on the spot. He assured that all pending applications will be fully addressed.
Key Highlights from the Chief Minister’s Address:
Electricity and Tap Water Access for All:
He said the government is working to ensure power and piped water in every household. He accused the previous government of denying housing under PM Awas Yojana to 18 lakh poor families and criticized their mismanagement of water supply schemes—saying tanks were built without any water provision. His government, he said, has corrected these schemes and ensured proper implementation.
Inclusive Development for All Sections:
Farmers are receiving ₹3,100 per quintal for 21 quintals per acre of paddy, along with bonus payments.
Through the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme, senior citizens have visited spiritual sites, with over 22,000 people visiting Ayodhya under the Shri Ram Lalla Darshan Yojana.
Landless farm laborers are receiving ₹10,000 annual assistance.
Property registration reforms now ensure automatic mutation with registry, and land can be gifted to children via a ₹500 donation deed, reducing bureaucratic hurdles.
Over 1,460 Atal Digital Service Centers have been launched in Gram Panchayats, enabling daily banking transactions of ₹1–1.5 lakh. The goal is to cover all panchayats in the next year.
Distribution of Benefits at the Camp:
Chief Minister Sai personally distributed:
House keys to PM Awas Yojana beneficiaries
Job cards to MGNREGA workers

Kisan Credit Cards, cheques, and ATM cards to eligible farmers
He emphasized, “The job of the government is not just to run the administration, but to serve the people. True good governance is when the system reaches the doorsteps of citizens.”
