Sai Reviews Third Phase of Good Governance Festival in Bijapur, Gives Instructions – Top Priority to Education, Drinking Water, Employment, and Rehabilitation of Surrendered Naxals

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, in a high-level review meeting held at the Bijapur district headquarters, directed administrative officials to maintain continuous monitoring and coordination for the effective implementation of public welfare schemes. Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Subodh Singh, Director General of Police Shri Arun Dev Gautam, and other senior officials were present at the meeting.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai reviewed the groundwater level and availability of drinking water sources in Bijapur district. The Collector of Bijapur informed that hand pumps have been dug as per demand. Chief Minister Shri Sai also instructed to work on alternative sources for long-term drinking water supply.
Chief Minister Shri Sai sought detailed information from officials regarding the quality of education. It was informed in the meeting that innovations like summer camps and ‘Bal Shiksha Mitra’ (child education friends) have increased children’s interest in education. Chief Minister Shri Sai emphasized making these efforts more organized and results-oriented.
Chief Minister Shri Sai discussed the Chief Minister Rural Bus Service Scheme for connecting rural areas to main roads, stating that Bastar and Surguja divisions would be prioritized. He directed the Collectors of Bijapur and Dantewada to identify routes and send proposals in this regard.
Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that adequate arrangements should be made for housing, rehabilitation, and skill training for surrendered Naxals. He instructed to organize placement camps for employment opportunities in NMDC and private sectors.
Chief Minister Shri Sai mentioned his personal participation in the third phase of the Good Governance Festival to evaluate the ground reality. He said that in the last one and a half years, most of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s guarantees have been fulfilled, and a decisive battle is being fought against Naxalism in the Bastar region.
Chief Minister Shri Sai spoke about connecting tribal communities with activities suited to their nature for their economic prosperity. He informed that Atal Seva Kendras (Atal Service Centers) have been launched in many panchayats, which will now provide banking services to villagers in their own villages.
At the end of the meeting, the Chief Minister said that administrative and developmental goals can only be achieved by working with a team spirit. He appealed to all officials to remain committed to public welfare by working with the same spirit. Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, along with other public representatives and officials, were present at the meeting.
