Chief Minister Sai said that Chhattisgarh society is an egalitarian society. The influence of Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji’s thoughts is clearly visible in the construction of this society. With his message of ‘Manakhe-Manakhe Ek Samaan’, he said the same thing. When we start looking at each other with a sense of equality, hatred will automatically end. This message of his binds not only society but also the country and the world in the thread of unity. At a time when disruptive elements are conspiring to break the unity of the country, the message of Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji is showing us the way like a beacon of light.
Chief Minister Sai said that our Chhattisgarh is the rice bowl. For the farmers who are the identity of the rice bowl, we are buying paddy from the farmers at Rs. 3100 per quintal and 21 quintals per acre. Last time we purchased 145 lakh metric tonnes of paddy, this time we expect this figure to reach 160 lakh metric tonnes. Baba Ji also gave the message of equality between men and women. This equality will come when our mothers and sisters are also fully empowered economically, that is why Modi ji has guaranteed one thousand rupees every month to our mothers and sisters in the form of the Mahatari Vandana Yojana. From the very first day of taking the oath, we started working for the implementation of the Mahatari Vandana Yojana. Within three months, we started giving an amount of one thousand rupees every month to the accounts of 70 lakh mothers and sisters. We have given ten installments of the scheme so far.
He said that we have also worked to ensure that our youth get proper employment opportunities and that there is complete transparency in the examinations. The investigation of the PSC examination was handed over to the CBI. This year, the PSC examination was conducted with complete transparency. I met the toppers of PSC, they told me that due to the rampant corruption in the previous government, many youths had lost faith in PSC, this time when the examination was clean, the faith was restored. We have increased 135 seats for youth in the Tribal Youth Hostel in Delhi so that Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe youth can become collectors and SPs. We are also going to start 13 libraries on the lines of Nalanda in urban bodies for the youth.
Chief Minister Sai said that our government’s entire focus is on the development of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. For this, we have made a significant increase in the budget provision. We have formulated a new industrial policy. In this industrial policy, special provisions have been made for our Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe entrepreneurs. There are very good opportunities for those who want to grow in the field of entrepreneurship. I am happy that we are developing Chhattisgarh in accordance with the message of a peaceful and egalitarian society of Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji. He said that we have resolved to continuously work hard for the construction of a developed Chhattisgarh.
