Sahu Samaj’s self-respect and cultural heritage receive a new dimension: Postal stamp dedicated to Mata Karma on her 1009th birth anniversary

The land of Chhattisgarh today witnessed a historic moment when Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, on the auspicious occasion of the 1009th birth anniversary of devotee Mata Karma, grandly released a postal stamp dedicated to Mata Karma at the Karmadham premises in the capital Raipur. This postal stamp not only immortalizes the sacrifice and dedication of Mata Karma, a symbol of devotion, but also provides national recognition to the glorious history and cultural tradition of the Sahu Samaj.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai offered prayers at the Bhakt Mata Karma Temple and wished for the well-being of the people of the state. While blessing the newly married couples who participated in the ideal marriage ceremony, he appreciated the unity and adherence to values of the society.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the life of Bhakt Mata Karma is an example of devotion, sacrifice, and dedication. Making her memory everlasting through the postal stamp will become a source of inspiration for future generations. The Sahu Samaj has always given me immense affection, and I wholeheartedly express my gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji and the Central Government for accepting this historic demand of the society.
Chief Minister Shri Sai also informed that the previously announced amount of ₹5 crore for the installation of the Rajim Mata statue and other development works has now been included in the budget, which will give new impetus to the development of religious places of the society.
On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao, while expressing his reverence towards Mata Karma, said that the blessings of Mata Karma are welfare for both the society and the state. This postal stamp is a symbol of respect for women power.
Union Minister of State Shri Tokhan Sahu, while calling the release of the postal stamp a proud moment for the Teli (oil-pressing) community, said that this postal stamp is not just a symbol but a national recognition of Mata Karma’s struggle, service, and sacrifice.
Chhattisgarh Sahu Samaj President Shri Tahal Singh Sahu delivered the welcome address at the ceremony.
On this occasion, Sant Mata Karma Ashram Shaktipeeth Raipur was honoured with the “Golden Book of World Records” for its social contribution, which is a matter of pride for the entire society.
MLAs Shri Motilal Sahu, Shri Pawan Sai, MLA Shri Dipesh Sahu, MLA Shri Sandeep Sahu, Director of Postal Services Shri Dinesh Mistry, along with many representatives of the Sahu Samaj, dignitaries, and devotees were present in large numbers at the event.
