Governor Ramen Deka and Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai visited the Gurudwara in Pandri, Raipur on the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas and paid their respects to the martyrdom of Baba Jorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh, the brave sons of the tenth Guru Gobind Singh.
The Governor, on the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas, said that the sacrifice of Guru Gobind Singh’s young brave children for the protection of religion is unparalleled, and such an example is rarely found. Their martyrdom will always inspire future generations.
Deka said that the Sikh community is hardworking and always ready to defend the country. The tradition of langar and secret donations in gurdwaras is very commendable. Recalling the challenging times of the global Covid-19 pandemic, he said that the Sikh community had made a very commendable contribution by serving the common people in various gurdwaras across the country.
Sai, on the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas, recalled the heroic saga of the brave children Baba Jorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh and appreciated the sacrifice they made for their religion and culture.
He said that to ensure that Veer Bal Diwas continues to inspire future generations, a significant decision has been taken to include the heroic saga of these brave children in the curriculum in Chhattisgarh.
