Rural Entrepreneurship Reaches New Heights Under CM Sai’s Leadership

Raipur, January 4

The Rural India Festival 2025, which began today at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, is seeing an excellent response to JashPure brand products from Chhattisgarh’s Jashpur district.

A large number of visitors are thronging Stall No. 76 at Bharat Mandapam to purchase JashPure products, which are also available online.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, efforts to bring forest produce from districts like Jashpur to international platforms have significantly boosted rural entrepreneurship in Chhattisgarh. This initiative by the Chhattisgarh government has created employment opportunities for youth and women.

At the festival, Stall No. 76, set up by the Harit Kranti Tribal Cooperative Society, features an array of food products from Jashpur district. These include cashews, Jeeraphool rice, ragi, laddoos made from mahua, kulthi dal, mandua flour, ragi cookies, jackfruit cookies, mahua energy candies, mahua nectar, Jashpur tea, and more. All these products are processed locally from forest produce and are not only delicious but also healthy. JashPyor products are meticulously crafted by tribal youth and women, ensuring their purity. This dedication has helped the JashPyor brand carve out a unique identity in international markets.

The primary goal of JashPyor is to bring traditional foods like mahua, ragi, and millets to global tables. According to Samarth Jain, these products not only promote nutrition but also provide employment and economic empowerment to tribal communities involved in their collection and processing.

Nutritional and Medicinal Benefits:

Mahua: Rich in antibacterial properties, it helps reduce inflammation, heals wounds quickly, and strengthens the immune system due to its vitamin C content. Mahua is also effective in treating respiratory issues like cough, bronchitis, and asthma.
Ragi: Packed with calcium, vitamins, and fiber, it contains antioxidants that reduce stress, depression, anxiety, and insomnia. Ragi consumption helps address iron deficiency, strengthens bones, lowers cholesterol, and supports weight management.
