Rs 1.36 Crore approved for development works in newly formed Lal Bahadur Nagar Municipality

The Urban Administration and Development Department of the state government has approved a grant of 1 crore 35 lakh 95 thousand rupees for development works in Lal Bahadur Nagar Municipality of Rajnandgaon district, which was formed four months ago.
After the approval of Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Administration and Development Minister Shri Arun Sao, the department has issued an order approving the amount for 19 infrastructure development works. These include 12 CC road constructions, four RCC drain constructions, two RCC culvert constructions, and one office building repair work in various wards of Lal Bahadur Nagar Municipality.
Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Administration and Development Minister Shri Arun Sav had announced to give a grant of one and a half crore rupees to each municipality in the state under the infrastructure head in the current financial year 2024-25. In compliance with this, the department has approved about 1.36 crore rupees for Lal Bahadur Nagar Municipality. Deputy Chief Minister Sao has said that funds are being provided to every urban local body to develop development works and public facilities according to its needs and demands.
Based on the proposals received from the Chief Municipal Officer of Lal Bahadur Nagar Municipality, the Urban Administration Department has approved this grant of 1 crore 35 lakh 95 thousand rupees from the infrastructure head in the current financial year 2024-25. The department has approved 87 lakh 44 thousand rupees for 12 CC road construction works and 17 lakh 30 thousand rupees for four RCC drain construction works. The department has also approved three lakh 21 thousand rupees for two RCC culvert construction works and 28 lakh rupees for office building repairs.
