Regaining People’s Trust is Our Greatest Achievement: CM Sai

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai stated that the biggest challenge for his government was restoring public trust.

As his government completes one year, he expressed satisfaction in fulfilling all major promises made under “Modi’s Guarantee,” thereby regaining the trust of the people.

He addressed the media during a press conference at the New Circuit House, Raipur, marking the completion of one year in office.

A Year of Rebuilding Trust

CM Sai highlighted that the past year was dedicated to restoring trust, which had been eroded during the previous government’s tenure. “The earlier government failed to fulfill most promises from their manifesto, creating a crisis of faith not just for Chhattisgarh but for democracy itself,” he said.

The CM added, “With our government’s report card today, I am proud to state that we have fulfilled all major promises under ‘Modi’s Guarantee,’ addressing the needs of farmers, women, youth, and economically weaker sections.”

Commitment to Good Governance

During the election campaign, the CM promised good governance and corruption-free, transparent administration. He stated that his government acted swiftly against corruption, ensuring legal action and imprisonment for those involved.

“Our focus was on restoring public trust, and now, based on that trust, we aim to build a prosperous and developed Chhattisgarh,” he affirmed.

Vision for Economic Growth

Sai announced an ambitious goal to raise the state GDP to ₹10 lakh crores by 2028. “As we prepare to celebrate the state’s silver jubilee on November 1, 2025, we are working tirelessly to contribute to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India,” he added.

Key Achievements in the Past Year

  1. For Farmers and Women:
    • Record procurement of paddy at ₹3,100 per quintal with a 21 quintal per acre limit.
    • Payment of ₹3,716 crores in pending paddy bonuses over two years.
    • Launch of the Mahatari Vandan Yojana, benefiting 70 lakh women with ₹6,530 crores distributed across 10 installments.
  2. Housing for the Poor:
    • Fulfilled the promise of providing 1.8 million homes under PMAY.
    • Increased tendu leaf collection rates from ₹4,000 to ₹5,500 per standard bag.
  3. Restoring Faith in CGPSC:
    • Reformed the CGPSC examination system for transparency and fairness.
    • Improved trust in competitive examinations and announced results promptly.
  4. Infrastructure Development:
    • Expansion of roads, rail, and air connectivity in tribal areas.
    • Approval of ₹31,000 crores for road projects and plans for a robust rail network.
  5. Employment and Industry:
    • A new industrial policy promoting employment and entrepreneurship.
    • Special incentives for marginalized groups, women, and veterans.
    • Inclusion of tourism as an industry to boost the economy.
  6. Naxal Eradication:
    • Significant progress in eliminating Naxalism with the surrender/arrest of over 1,750 Naxals and neutralization of 213.
    • Commitment to eradicate Naxalism by March 2026.
  7. Tribal Welfare:
    • Annual honorarium of ₹5,000 for Baiga, Gunia, and Sirha community leaders.
    • Infrastructure improvements and recognition for tribal heroes.
  8. Tourism Development:
    • Development of Bastar’s tourism corridor and international recognition for Dhurmaras village.
    • Creation of the Guru Ghasidas-Tamoor Pingla Tiger Reserve to boost eco-tourism.

Cultural Initiatives

The CM launched the Shri Ramlala Darshan Yojana for free pilgrimages to Ayodhya, emphasizing the state’s deep connection to Lord Ram.

Public Endorsement of Government’s Efforts

CM Sai concluded by highlighting the recent by-election results as evidence of public approval for his government’s work. “The outcome reflects the citizens’ faith in our commitment to their welfare,” he said.

With these achievements, CM Sai reiterated his determination to lead Chhattisgarh toward becoming a model of development and prosperity, aligned with the national vision of a developed India.
