Rajim Kumbh Kalp will be a medium to showcase Chhattisgarh’s rich traditions and culture: CM Sai

A grand Kumbh Kalp will be organized from February 12 to 26, 2025 in Rajim, famous as the Prayag of Chhattisgarh. This year, this unique religious and cultural event will be held at the newly proposed 52-acre fairground. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai gave necessary instructions in a high-level review meeting regarding the preparations for Rajim Kumbh Kalp held today in the meeting room of the Mahanadi Bhavan, Secretariat.
He asked to ensure the major events of Kumbh Kalp including royal bath, Ganga Aarti, Sant Samagam and convenient arrangements for the pilgrims.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Rajim Kumbh Kalp 2025 will be a wonderful confluence of religion, faith, and culture and it is also a beautiful medium to showcase the rich traditions and culture of Chhattisgarh. We have to ensure that the pilgrims have a memorable experience here and this event reaches our glorious heritage to the country and the world.
Chief Minister Shri Sai directed all the departments and administrative personnel involved in the organization of Rajim Kumbh Kalp to work in coordination with each other. He asked to pay special attention to the arrangements for the movement of pilgrims, security measures, and cleanliness.
Sai said, “It is our responsibility to make this event a success and establish it as the identity of Chhattisgarh.” He asked to pay special attention to the preparations for the Maghi Punni bath to be held on February 12, the Sant Samagam on the occasion of Janaki Jayanti on February 21, and the royal bath to be held on February 26.
Additional Chief Secretary Shri Subrat Sahu gave important information related to the organization of Rajim Kumbh Kalp 2025 to Chief Minister Shri Sai. He informed about the places designated for various activities in the venue through a PPT. He gave information about the department’s preparations regarding civic amenities, movement of saints, royal bath, and Ganga Aarti in the Kumbh Kalp.
It is noteworthy that the Rajim Kumbh Kalp will commence on the auspicious occasion of Maghi Purnima on February 12 and will conclude on Maha Shivratri on February 26. Rajim Kumbh Kalp will be organized at the confluence of the Pari, Mahanadi, and Sondhur rivers. Pilgrims will take a dip in these holy rivers and get the blessings of punya.
The Tourism Department has been made nodal for the entire organization of Rajim Kumbh Kalp. Like last year, this year too, a huge congregation of saints will be held in this 15-day long Kumbh Kalp. Maghi Punni bath, royal bath, and Sant Samagam on the occasion of Janaki Jayanti will be organized specially. Daily cultural activities, fair, madai, meena bazaar, and departmental exhibitions are also included as special attractions of Kumbh Kalp.
The meeting was attended by MLA Shri Rohit Sahu, Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Subodh Singh, Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Rahul Bhagat, Secretary of Religious Affairs Shri Anbalgan P., Director of Culture Shri Vivek Acharya, IG Raipur Shri Amaresh Mishra, Collector Gariyaband Shri Deepak Agrawal, and other departmental officers.
