Raipur, August 22

Chhattisgarh Medical Services Corporation Limited (CGMSCL) has found a preliminary quality deficiency in various batches of Paracetamol 500 mg and 650 mg tablets supplied by 9M India Limited, located in Mahasamund, from the year 2024. After receiving complaints from the corporation’s drug warehouses and health units, tests were conducted on the batches manufactured in 2024.

CGMSCL’s investigation report confirmed the quality deficiency in the relevant batches of medicines, with the presence of black spots making them unsuitable for consumption. Following this, the corporation issued orders directing the company to immediately recall all suspected batches from drug warehouses and health institutions, keeping public health safety in mind, and to supply a new batch of quality drugs in their place.

The company has also been warned that failure to comply with the prescribed conditions will result in strict action under tender rules, and full responsibility will rest with the company.
