Prime Minister Narendra Modi Mentions Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada in ‘Mann Ki Baat’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation today in the 122nd episode of his radio program Mann Ki Baat. This edition held special significance for Chhattisgarh. Praising the work being done under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, the Prime Minister said that Dantewada, once severely affected by Maoist extremism, is now waving the flag of education.

In his address, the Prime Minister spoke about the Bastar Olympics and the establishment of science laboratories in Maoist-affected regions of Chhattisgarh. He highlighted the growing passion for science among children in these areas and noted their impressive achievements in sports as well.

Referring to the Bastar region, the Prime Minister stated that such efforts demonstrate the immense courage of the people living in these areas. Despite facing numerous challenges, they have chosen a path toward a better life.

He also expressed happiness over the academic performance of Dantewada district in the recent board examinations. The district achieved a remarkable result of around 95% in the 10th-grade exams, ranking at the top in the state, and secured the 6th position in the 12th-grade exams in Chhattisgarh.

Using Bastar as an example, Prime Minister Modi said that such transformations fill every citizen with pride.

Following this mention in Mann Ki Baat, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai thanked the Prime Minister for recognizing the Bastar region and Dantewada. He affirmed that the Chhattisgarh government is aligned with the Prime Minister’s vision of a “Developed India” and is committed to making a significant contribution toward building a developed Chhattisgarh.
