Preserving the Glorious Heritage of Our Society is Essential – Chief Minister Sai

Raipur, April 10
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today participated in the annual general assembly of the Dhamtari Raj Kanwar-Pekra Society and the felicitation ceremony of newly elected tribal panchayat representatives of the Kanwar-Pekra community held at Rankadih in Dhamtari district. On the occasion, he congratulated the winners of the urban body and three-tier panchayat elections. He praised the contributions of Gahira Guru Baba toward social welfare and encouraged everyone to draw inspiration from his work.
The Chief Minister stated that the Kanwar and Pekra communities have a proud and glorious history that must be preserved collectively. He acknowledged the achievements of many community members in various fields and urged people to stay away from alcohol and meat to actively participate in development.
He emphasized that the double-engine government has diligently fulfilled promises made under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s guarantee. Upon assuming office, the government approved 1.8 million houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Soon, 40,000 houses will be approved for Dhamtari district alone. The state government procured paddy at Rs. 3100 per quintal and has also disbursed the pending bonus for the past two years, benefiting farmers across the state.
Under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, over 7 million women in the state are receiving Rs. 1000 monthly. Soon, newly married women and those not yet registered will also be included. The price for tendu leaves has been increased to Rs. 5500 per standard bag. People of the state are benefiting from religious tourism under the Ramlala Darshan Yojana and the Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Yojana. Financial aid is also being provided under the Landless Agricultural Laborers Scheme. The Chief Minister also spoke about the state’s industrial policies, higher education institutions, and student welfare initiatives.
The event was also addressed by Kanker MP Shri Bhojraj Nag, State Kanwar Society President Shri Harivansh Singh Miri, Society President Shri Vishram Ji Dau, and other dignitaries. Former MLAs Sihawa Smt. Pinky Dhruv and Shri Shravan Markam, along with numerous community officials and villagers, were present in large numbers.
Chief Minister Hands Over House Keys to 10 Beneficiaries
On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai symbolically handed over house keys to 10 beneficiaries from the Kanwar community under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) and extended best wishes for their new homes. A total of 21,875 homes have been approved in the district for eligible beneficiaries, and surveys are ongoing for newly added families, with 32,565 households already surveyed.
25 Beneficiaries Receive Property Ownership Documents
The Chief Minister also handed over property documents to 25 beneficiaries and interacted with them. He said that having these documents would eliminate future issues regarding property rights. Notably, residents living on population land in rural revenue villages are being issued ownership cards. Dhamtari district leads the state in distributing these Swamitva cards.
So far, 17,354 Swamitva cards have been prepared in 143 villages of Dhamtari district. Of these, 11,551 cards have been distributed in two phases, including 3,134 cards in 21 villages of Magarlod tehsil. On Panchayati Raj Day (April 24, 2025), the goal is to distribute 3,345 cards in 26 villages. The document preparation work is in progress.
Startup Entrepreneur Jayanti Sidar Receives Rs. 3.41 Crore Cheque
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai also handed over a cheque of Rs. 3.41 crore to Ms. Jayanti Sidar, the first beneficiary from the Scheduled Tribe community of Dhamtari district under the IFCI Venture Capital Fund’s scheme. She runs a startup – Hemal Food Products Private Limited. He congratulated her and wished success for her business.
This recognition comes after her participation in India’s largest startup event, held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The grand event, organized by the Government e-Marketplace (GeM), saw participation from over 3,000 startups, more than 1,000 investors, and delegates from 50 countries.
