PM Modi to Inaugurate and Lay Foundation Stones for Development Projects in Village Mohbhathha, Bilaspur

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will visit Chhattisgarh on 30th March 2025. During the visit, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for key development projects in the village of Mohbhathha, Bilaspur district. Prime Minister Shri Modi will arrive at Raipur Airport by Air Force plane at 2:30 PM. He will then depart for Mohbhathha by helicopter at 2:35 PM and reach the venue by 3:30 PM. He will participate in various foundation stone laying and inauguration ceremonies from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM. After the program, the Prime Minister will depart from Mohbhathha Heliport at 4:45 PM and return to Raipur Airport by 5:25 PM, from where he will leave for Delhi by Air Force plane at 5:30 PM.

On 30th March, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stones and dedicate development projects worth over ₹33,700 crores in the sectors of electricity, oil and gas, railways, roads, education, and housing in Bilaspur district’s Mohbhathha.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is committed to reforms in the power sector across India. As part of this commitment, several steps will be taken to provide affordable and reliable electricity and make Chhattisgarh self-reliant in power generation. He will lay the foundation stone for the NTPC Sipat Super Thermal Power Project Phase-III (1x800MW) in Bilaspur district, which has a cost of over ₹9,790 crores. This pithead project is based on ultra-supercritical technology with high power generation efficiency. The Prime Minister will also launch the first supercritical thermal power project (2x660MW) of Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Limited (CSPGCL), costing over ₹15,800 crores. Additionally, three power transmission projects under the Western Region Expansion Scheme (WRES) worth over ₹560 crores will be dedicated to the nation.

In line with India’s net-zero carbon emission goals, reducing air pollution, and providing clean energy solutions, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL)’s City Gas Distribution (CGD) project in the districts of Korea, Surajpur, Balrampur, and Sarguja. This includes over 200 kilometers of high-pressure pipelines and over 800 kilometers of MDPE pipelines, along with several CNG dispensing outlets worth over ₹1,285 crores. He will also lay the foundation stone for the 540-kilometer-long Vishakhapatnam-Raipur Pipeline (VRPL) project of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), which will cost over ₹2,210 crores. This multi-product pipeline will have a capacity of over 3 million metric tons per year.

Focusing on improving connectivity in the region, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stones for seven railway projects with a total length of 108 kilometers and dedicate three railway projects totaling 111 kilometers and costing over ₹2,690 crores to the nation. He will flag off the MEMU train service on the Abhanpur-Raipur section through the temple of Hasoud. He will also dedicate the full electrification of Indian Railways’ rail network in Chhattisgarh to the nation. These projects will reduce congestion, improve connectivity, and promote socio-economic development across the region.

To improve the road infrastructure in Chhattisgarh, the Prime Minister will dedicate the upgrade of the NH-930 (37 km) from Jhalmala to Sherpar and NH-43 (75 km) from Ambikapur to Pathalgaon to two-lane roads to the nation. He will also lay the foundation stone for the two-lane upgrade of NH-130D (47.5 km) from Kondagaon to Narayanpur. These projects, costing over ₹1,270 crores, will bring significant improvements to accessibility in tribal and industrial areas and foster overall development.

As part of his commitment to ensuring education for all, the Prime Minister will dedicate two major educational initiatives: 130 PM Shri Schools across 29 districts of the state and the Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK) in Raipur. Under the PM Schools for Rising India scheme, 130 schools will be upgraded. These schools will help provide high-quality education through well-structured infrastructure, smart boards, modern laboratories, and libraries. The VSK in Raipur will enable the online monitoring and data analysis of various government education-related schemes.

To fulfill his commitment to ensuring proper housing for rural families and improving their health, safety, and overall quality of life, the Prime Minister will facilitate the home entry of 3 lakh beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G). He will hand over keys to some beneficiaries under this scheme.
