PM Kisan Samman Nidhi: Rs. 494 crore to be released for 24.17 lakh farmers of Chhattisgarh

Farmers of Chhattisgarh are set to receive another significant benefit under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will release the 21st instalment of the scheme online on November 19 for farmers across the country. Under this instalment, more than Rs. 494 crore will be transferred directly into the bank accounts of 24,17,640 farmers of Chhattisgarh.

A state-level ceremony of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi will be organised on November 19 in Dhamtari. Union Agriculture Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai will participate in the event. The programme will be held from 12.30 pm at the campus of Dr Shobharam Devangan Government School, Dhamtari.

Union Agriculture Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan will also lay the foundation stone for 774 roads with a total length of approximately 2,442 kilometres, costing more than Rs. 2,242 crore, under PM Gram Sadak Yojana 4-K to connect 780 habitations with a population above 100. Additionally, he will distribute Rs. 286 crore to 17,357 self-help groups under the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) as cyclical funds, community investment funds, and bank credit linkage funds.

The Union Minister will also inaugurate the state-level Watershed Festival organised under the watershed programme. Apart from this, he will lay foundation stones, inaugurate various works, and felicitate beneficiaries who have achieved excellence in different sectors.
