Ownership scheme an effective initiative to empower rural India: CM Sai

In line with the intention and visionary thinking of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, the state government has taken strong steps to effectively implement the ownership scheme. The ownership scheme is an effective initiative to empower rural India. The right to property is not limited only to the legal ownership of land and other resources, but it provides a basis for individuals and communities to live a self-reliant, stable and dignified life. This right especially ensures economic, social and personal freedom for the weaker and deprived sections of our society, therefore making land records transparent and effective is our priority.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said this while addressing the ownership card distribution ceremony organized in Mahasamund today.
Congratulating all the beneficiaries of the ownership card, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that today ownership cards are being distributed to 10 thousand 850 beneficiaries of 128 villages of Mahasamund district. He said that the ownership scheme will not only clearly determine the ownership rights of the land boundaries, but it will also reduce land-related disputes.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that we are using state-of-the-art digital technologies in land-related matters, so that high-resolution digital maps can be made available to the gram panchayats. This will help in building better roads, health centers, schools and other infrastructure, which will accelerate the pace of development.
He said that the state government has developed “Sugam App” to make the registry process transparent and work is being done on digitization of documents.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Chhattisgarh has received approval for 3 lakh 88 thousand new Pradhan Mantri Awas. Along with this, approval for 4 lakh new houses will also be received in future. As soon as our government was formed, 18 lakh houses were approved. Survey work has now started in the state in Awas Plus 2024. He said that I am happy to inform you that now those who have two and a half acres of irrigated or 5 acres of unirrigated land and those who have two wheelers will also get its benefit.
It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today virtually joined the nationwide ownership card distribution program from Delhi and provided ownership cards of their occupied land to 65 lakh villagers in 50 thousand villages. On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi addressed the beneficiaries of the scheme and also interacted with them.
Chief Minister Shri Sai invited the people of the state to participate in the Prayagraj Mahakumbh in the program. He said that a grand pandal has been built for the people of Chhattisgarh in an area of 4 and a half acres under Prayagraj Sector 6 by the state government. Free accommodation and food arrangements have been made here for them.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that paddy procurement will be done till January 31 this year. So far, more than 132 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been procured and more than 23 lakh farmers have sold paddy. He said that the difference amount will be provided soon after the paddy procurement.
On this occasion, Revenue and Youth Welfare Minister Shri Tankram Verma congratulated all the beneficiaries and said that the double engine government is working with full honesty and dedication. Sabka Saath and Sabka Vikas is not just a slogan but a feeling, with the aim of making it meaningful, the state government is working under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai. He said that the ownership card is not just a document, but a proof of your right, self-reliance and empowerment.
In the program, MP Smt. Roopkumari Choudhary said that the pace of public interest works has accelerated in Chhattisgarh due to the coordination between the central and state governments. MLA Shri Yogeshwar Raju Sinha, Shri Sampat Agarwal also addressed the program. Collector Shri Vinay Kumar Langeh said that the survey has been completed in 1073 villages through drone survey. Through which the ownership card of 10850 beneficiaries of 128 villages has been prepared and the distribution has been started.
District Panchayat President Smt. Usha Patel, Women Commission member Smt. Sarla Kosaria, Smt. Sanyukta Singh, former MP Shri Chunnilal Sahu, former Parliamentary Secretary Shri Poonam Chandrakar, former MLA Paresh Bagbahra and other public representatives along with dignitaries were present in the program.
