Our Government’s First Year Was Dedicated to Development with Your Participation and Trust: CM Sai

On the occasion of completing one year of his government, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai conveyed a heartfelt message to the people of Chhattisgarh. He stated, “Our government completes its first year on December 13. This year has been dedicated to development, driven by your trust and participation. Over the past 12 months, Chhattisgarh has achieved new milestones in development, and we have made steady progress toward building a developed Chhattisgarh as part of a developed India.”
The Chief Minister emphasized that the government prioritized the welfare of all sections of society, particularly those who are socially and economically disadvantaged.
Guided by Antyodaya: Uplifting the Last Person
CM Sai recalled the teachings of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, highlighting the commitment to reaching the last person in society. He mentioned significant achievements in enhancing the income and employment of tribal communities. The tendu leaf collection rate was increased from ₹4,000 to ₹5,500 per standard bag. Tourism in tribal areas has also been promoted under the new industrial policy.
New Industrial Policy and Farmer Welfare
He explained that the new industrial policy has created new opportunities for the state’s economy and job creation. The policy focuses on making industries employment-oriented. Fulfilling promises made to farmers, paddy was procured at ₹3,100 per quintal, with a limit of 21 quintals per acre. For women, the Mahatari Vandan Yojana was launched, benefiting 7 million mothers and sisters.
Housing for the Needy
The Chief Minister highlighted the decision to provide 1.8 million houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, made on the government’s second day in office. A significant amount of funds was promptly allocated to ensure rapid progress in construction, fulfilling the government’s commitment to the people.
Success in Countering Naxalism
Shri Sai lauded the government’s success in bringing development and democracy to remote villages in Bastar. He stated that Chhattisgarh has made remarkable progress toward eradicating Naxalism, which is now on its last legs in the state.
Commitment to Good Governance
The CM reaffirmed his government’s pledge to establish good governance. By leveraging technology, efforts were made to ensure transparency and eliminate corruption in administration. Inspired by the vision of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the government has been working to realize the dream of Ram Rajya, or ideal governance, as envisioned in ancient texts.
Reforms in Examination Systems
CM Sai highlighted reforms in the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC), ensuring transparency in exams and results. These efforts have restored the confidence of the youth in the system.
Concluding his address, the Chief Minister expressed gratitude for the people’s support and reiterated his commitment to the principles of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas (Together with all, Development for all, Trust of all, and Efforts of all). “We will continue to scale new heights of development in the days to come. Heartiest congratulations to all on these achievements,” he said.
