Our Government is Committed to Making the Sacred Land of Saints and Lord Shri Ram’s Maternal Home Developed and Prosperous: CM Sai

Chhattisgarh is the sacred land of saints and the maternal home of Lord Shri Ram. The state government is resolved to make this land developed and prosperous. With the core mantra of peace, security, prosperity, and good governance, the well-being of 3 crore citizens of the state is our ultimate goal. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai made these remarks today while addressing the 168th Martyrdom Day program of Veerangana Avantibai Lodhi at village Semariya in Kabirdham district. During the event, CM Shri Sai unveiled a statue of Veerangana Avantibai Lodhi and paid his respects. He also announced the construction of a community hall, a mini-stadium, and a Yagyashala.
Inspiration from Veerangana Avantibai Lodhi
The Chief Minister stated that the life of Veerangana Avantibai Lodhi is an indelible example of courage, self-respect, and patriotism. Despite limited resources and a small army, she fought with indomitable courage against the British and made the ultimate sacrifice for the country. “Taking inspiration from such a great personality, we should adopt the values of national service and social welfare in our lives,” he said.
Praising the Lodhi community, he noted that the society is historically known for its bravery, ethics, and service to the nation. Their contribution to the freedom struggle was significant, and even today, the community plays an active role in the development of the country and the state.
Empowering Farmers and Women
The Chief Minister highlighted that the state government is continuously working for the welfare of farmers, the poor, and women.
* Agriculture: Paddy is being procured from farmers at ₹3,100 per quintal. By paying the difference amount before Holi, the government ensured prosperity for farmers during the festival.
* Women Empowerment: Under the ‘Mahtari Vandan Yojana’, over 70 lakh women in the state receive ₹1,000 monthly. So far, more than ₹16,000 crore has been transferred directly into their accounts across 25 installments.
* Housing: A large number of houses are being provided under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
Cultural and Youth Development
Shri Sai further mentioned that to promote faith and culture, the ‘Ram Lalla Darshan Yojana’ is being implemented, under which over 42,000 devotees have visited Ayodhya to seek the blessings of Lord Shri Ram. Additionally, to nurture youth talent, Olympics are being organized in Bastar and Surguja to provide a platform for rural athletes.
Key Announcements for the Region
During the event, the Chief Minister made several major announcements:
* ₹50 lakh for the construction of a social building in Ward No. 26 of Kawardha.
* Construction of a Mini Stadium to promote local sporting talent.
* ₹20 lakh for the construction of a Yagyashala in Sahaspur-Lohara.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, in his address, recalled the courage and sacrifice of Veerangana Avantibai Lodhi and urged the community to unite and carry forward their glorious traditions.
The event was attended by MLA Smt. Bhavna Bohra, former MP Shri Abhishek Singh, Shri Santosh Kaushik, and representatives of the Lodhi community along with the general public.
