One militant was killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district last night. The body of the militant has been recovered.
Based on specific intelligence CRPF and Special Operations Group launched joint cordon and search operation in Khanjarbal, Brijbhera and Anantnag areas. CRPF sources said that one SLR rifle and one Grenade pouch was recovered from the encounter site. The search operation turned into an encounter when militants opened fire on the security personnel.
