In Jammu and Kashmir, an Army jawan was martyred last night in an encounter with terrorists in Aglar Kandi area of Pulwama district.
A civilian was also injured, while three terrorists were gunned down.
Army officials said, the gunbattle erupted after terrorists fired at the security forces which had launched a cordon-and-search operation in the Kandi belt of the area.
The operation was launched following information about the presence of some terrorists there.
