In Jammu and Kashmir, an Army man and a Police jawan were martyred in an encounter with terrorists at Tral subdivision in Pulwama district today. One Army jawan was also injured.
Security sources averred that the gunfight started after an anti-terror operation was launched in the Laam forest area on the basis of specific information about the presence of terrorists there.
One terrorist was gunned down. The operation in still in progress as two more terrorists are believed to be hiding in the area.
