Online application date extends for Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Protsahan Yojana

The last date for online applications under the Central Sector Scholarship Scheme (CSSS) of the Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Protsahan Yojana (PM–USP CSSS), operated by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Higher Education, has been extended. For the academic session 2024–25, the deadline for fresh and renewal applications on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) has been revised from November 15, 2025, to November 30, 2025.
According to the notification issued by the Ministry, along with new applications for the year 2025, renewal applications for 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 will also be accepted until November 30. Students who were unable to submit their applications for any reason can now complete the process on the National Scholarship Portal (www.scholarships.gov.in) within the extended deadline.
It has been made mandatory for all students to ensure the “online verification” of their applications at the college level, as the subsequent process by the Board of Secondary Education will only be possible after this verification is completed. Colleges have been instructed to conduct daily online verification of students’ application forms and forward them in time to the concerned office so that eligible students can receive the “benefits of the scheme without delay”.
