Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai is highly sensitive to the expansion of healthcare facilities and the provision of medical education within the state for the youth. Following his initiative, the Department of Medical Education has granted approval for two new PG courses at the Late Shri Lakhiram Memorial Government Medical College in Raigarh—one in Obstetrics and Gynecology with 4 seats, and the other in Dermatology with 4 seats.

Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal stated that the increase in the number of seats due to the approval of new courses will benefit medical students. With the expansion of PG courses, students will have more opportunities to pursue higher education within the state itself.

It is worth mentioning that the state government has approved the introduction of two new PG courses at Late Shri Lakhiram Agarwal Memorial Government Medical College, Raigarh. The Department of Medical Education has also issued an Essentiality Certificate for these courses. The new PG courses will include 4 seats in Obstetrics and Gynecology and 4 seats in Dermatology. Additionally, approval had earlier been granted for 7 seats in General Surgery, 4 in MD Pediatrics, and 5 in General Medicine.
