Instructions given to ensure cleanliness, lighting in urban bodies, public toilets, and cleaning of drains

A review meeting of departmental schemes was held today under the chairmanship of the state’s Deputy Chief Minister and in-charge minister of Korba district Arun Sao.
He directed that the benefits of all the welfare schemes of the government should be reached to the common citizens on priority. He also directed to treat the people coming to the office well and to provide them relief by resolving their problems.
Deputy Chief Minister Sao said that there is no shortage of resources in Korba, the energy capital of the state. There are unlimited possibilities of working in every field here.
He said that the work of government offices has been upgraded. All of you officers and employees should also update your work processes and work with renewed energy and thinking to take the district towards development.
Commerce, Industry, Trade and Labor Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Dewangan, MLA Katghora Shri Premchand Patel, MLA Pali-Tanakhar Shri Tuleshwar Singh Markam, MLA Rampur Shri Phoolsingh Rathiya, Mayor Shri Rajkishor Prasad, Zila Panchayat President Smt. Shivkal Chhatrapal Singh Kanwar, Collector Shri Ajit Vasant, Superintendent of Police Shri Siddharth Tiwari, DFO Shri Arvind PM, Shri Kumar Nishant, In-charge CEO Zila Panchayat and Municipal Corporation Commissioner Smt. Pratibha Mamgai, along with other public representatives and departmental officers and employees were present.
Deputy Chief Minister Sao took stock of the progress of development works of various departments including cleanliness and systematic maintenance in all government offices, complete arrangements for lighting and cleanliness in urban bodies, disposal of revenue cases, road conditions, Prime Minister’s Housing, Jal Jeevan Mission, Public Works, Urban Administration Department, Health Department, Prime Minister’s Housing, Women and Child Development and gave necessary directions. He asked all the officers to conduct regular field visits for better implementation of departmental schemes. When an officer goes to the field, your team becomes more alert to work. Along with this, you get to know the ground reality of the implementation of the schemes. Going to the field will speed up the work and the problems will be solved quickly.
Deputy Chief Minister Sao directed the officers to pay special attention to cleanliness and maintenance inside and outside the premises of all government offices and to keep the files in a systematic manner.
He also talked about treating the common people with respect and satisfying them. He asked to pay special attention to the cleanliness of all urban bodies. For this, he gave instructions to clean public toilets, roads and drains, and to ensure proper lighting in the city. He directed the officers to make special efforts to ensure good performance in the cleanliness ranking of urban bodies.
While reviewing the revenue cases, the Deputy Chief Minister asked to dispose of all the pending revenue cases seriously. He said that the disposal of revenue cases provides relief to the common people. For this, all the officers should bring progress in the disposal of revenue cases. He asked all the patwaris to stay at the headquarters and complete the work of the common people. He directed the revenue officers to understand the problems of the farmers in the courts and provide them with full facilities. So that their work is done on time and they do not face any kind of difficulty. He directed to complete the construction and repair of all ongoing road construction and infrastructure works in the district on time and pay special attention to quality. He asked to complete the repair work of PWD road, PM road, Chief Minister’s Gram Road in urban and rural areas of the district in mission mode. For this, complete the tendering work of all the works quickly. He directed the departmental officers to fix the responsibility and complete the work with mutual coordination.
During the review of the work of the Public Health Engineering Department, he said that the work of the Jal Jeevan Mission is very important. Providing clean drinking water to every household is an ambitious scheme of the government, there should be no negligence of any kind. The work should be of good quality in all the villages. Also, after the panchayat is certified, a Jal Mahotsav should be celebrated in the presence of the public representatives and the villagers should be encouraged to conserve water.
Sao talked about playing a significant role in fulfilling the dream of pucca houses for the backward families under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for urban and rural areas. He said that the officers should understand the importance of these schemes seriously and benefit as many people as possible from these schemes. While giving information about the development works being done in the district to the in-charge minister Sao, Collector Shri Ajit Vasant said that the district administration is continuously working to provide the benefits of all the important schemes of the government to the common people.
He told that gas cylinders and refilling have been arranged for fuel in all government schools, anganwadis and ashram hostels of the district from the DMF fund. 100 topper students of the district have been sent to a reputed coaching institute in Raipur for preparation for NEET and JEE.
SP Shri Tiwari, while giving information about the departmental work, told that the department is continuously working to instill the fear of law in the minds of criminals and to build trust among the public. Vigilant action is being taken to stop the transportation, storage and sale of drugs and illicit liquor in the district. To prevent road accidents, banners, posters and speed breakers are being installed at blank spots and accident-prone areas. Regular challan action is being taken against those driving without helmets, drinking and driving.
