Under the capable and compassionate leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, the construction of a paved road has begun in the remote and Naxal-affected forest areas of Mainpur block in Gariaband district.
Approval for ₹3.02 crore has been granted for the 4.7 km road construction from Dumarpadaw to Jagda along National Highway 130C. Villagers, who had been demanding a road for decades, have expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Sai for this historic initiative. Thousands of people from several villages in the area, who were deprived of transportation and healthcare facilities, now look forward to significant positive changes in their lives due to the road construction.
Villagers have said that for the first time in 75 years of independence, their demand for road construction has been seriously addressed. The road construction project has been approved under the Special Central Assistance Fund by Chief Minister Sai’s government. Once completed, the road will not only improve connectivity but also provide better access to healthcare, education, and electricity for the villagers. The project is being executed under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) at an estimated cost of ₹3.02 crore and is expected to be completed soon.
The initiation of road construction has brought immense enthusiasm among the villagers of Jagda and surrounding areas.
