New dawn of Development Will Rise in Naxal-Affected Areas: Chief Minister Sai

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has stated that a new sun of development will soon rise in Naxal-affected areas. He said that this area has been affected by Naxalism, due to which the wheels of development had stopped here. “Our concern is to eliminate Naxalism here and accelerate development work,” he added. He said that “Our jawans are strongly confronting the Naxals. Our resolve is to eliminate Naxalism by March 2026.” Chief Minister Shri Sai was addressing the ‘Samadhan Shivir’ (Solution Camp) organized in Sitagaon, Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki district today.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that “During the Good Governance Festival, the government is reaching your doorstep and also solving your problems. Only a government that works with true intent presents its report card by going among the public.” On this occasion, he announced the upgradation of Sitagaon Sub-Health Center to a Primary Health Center, construction of a bus stand and hostel in Mohla, and upgradation of Sitagaon High School to a Higher Secondary School, and establishment of a 132 KV substation in Ambagarh Chowki area. The Chief Minister said that “The benefits of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana are being provided to all eligible sisters, and those whose names are not yet registered will be added soon.”
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that “During the Good Governance Festival, we are continuously reaching out to the public to get feedback on schemes.” He said that “Our government is reaching any area without prior notice and holding ‘Chaupal’ (community gatherings) to directly interact with the public and listen to their problems. This government is working with a spirit of transparency and public participation.” He said that after the formation of the government in the state, 18 lakh Prime Minister’s houses have been sanctioned, out of which 32,000 houses have been sanctioned under PM Janman for Naxal-affected people. A large number of these houses have been completed, and beneficiaries are also moving in. 15,000 special houses have been sanctioned for Naxal violence victims and surrendered Naxals.
The Chief Minister said that the government has procured paddy at a rate of ₹3100 per quintal, as per its promise. Along with land registration, the mutation process will now be automatically completed. Relinquishment of rights now costs only ₹500. Atal Digital Seva Kendras have been established in 1460 Gram Panchayats of the state, which will be expanded to all Gram Panchayats in the coming year. He said that the Tribal Museum established in Naya Raipur is an important step towards the preservation of tribal culture. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma also addressed the camp.
At the Sitagaon ‘Samadhan Shivir’, the Chief Minister handed over “Keys of Happiness” to beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. On this occasion, he also honored ‘Swachhata Didis’ and meritorious students. In addition, fishing nets were distributed to fishermen, ration cards to villagers, and materials to beneficiaries of pension and other schemes. Villagers from 08 surrounding Gram Panchayats participated in the Sitagaon camp. In the camp, 1770 applications were resolved, including 336 for forest rights certificates, 258 for Pradhan Mantri Awas, and 247 for ration cards. Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Subodh Kumar Singh, along with many public representatives, panchayat representatives, and a large number of villagers, were present at the program.
47076 Applications Resolved in Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki
In Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki district, out of 48007 applications received under the Good Governance Festival, 47076 applications have been resolved so far. These applications primarily included those related to Pradhan Mantri Awas, individual toilets, individual-centric works under MNREGA, infrastructure development, Mahtari Vandan Yojana, and forest rights certificates. Based on demand and eligibility, applications are being scrutinized department-wise and benefits are being provided to applicants through camps.
Through camps in the district, 242 MNREGA, 1130 individual toilets, 02 community toilets, 364 pension sanctions, 332 ration cards, 294 MNREGA job cards, and 24 loan books have been distributed so far, along with 81 Ayushman cards and 30 Vaya Vandan cards being made. Also, 142 Gram Panchayats in the district have been declared TB-free Gram Panchayats, out of which 27 are marked and awarded as Silver Gram Panchayats and 125 as Bronze Gram Panchayats.
