New Bridge between Sagnighat and Silighat set to open soon

The construction of a new bridge over the Shivnath River between Sagnighat and Silighat in Durg district is nearing completion. Around 95% of the work on the bridge, which is being built at a cost of over 14 crores, has been completed.
Currently, work is underway on the construction of CC roads on both sides of the bridge. After the BT work on the bridge is completed in the next few days, the bridge will be ready for traffic.
The Public Works Department is constructing a new 400-meter long bridge over the Shivnath River between Sagnighat and Silighat on the road connecting Durg-Dhamdha road to Jalbandha-Khairagarh road. This will benefit about 20,000 people in 12 villages in the area, as well as those traveling to and from the district headquarters Durg, development block headquarters Dhamdha, Jalbandha and Khairagarh using this route. People from several villages like Dhamdha, Nanakatti, Sagni, Litia, Bori and Sili will now be able to travel uninterrupted throughout the year to villages on the other side of the river. This will provide great relief to the people of the area.
