President Ram Nath Kovind has said women of the country can strengthen and develop the rural India. Addressing women achiever’s at the Rashtrapati Bhavan this evening, Mr Kovind said, women in India are breaking traditional barriers and growing day-by-day.
The President said, women has to become an inspiration for the rest of the world. President Kovind said, India is the only place where women are safe and in India, now females are flying fighters and they are progressing despite several challenges. He said, development of females will only decide fate of India.
Mr Kovind said, several schemes have been started by the government including Jan Dhan Yojana for the empowerment of women. He said, violence against women is a major concern and government and society should find ways to deal with this. He noted that women has to be empowered for overall development of India. he advocated for eqaual rights for females.
Earlier, Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Gandhi said, her ministry is ensuring empowerment of country’s women. She said, safety and security of women and child is the priority of the government. She also said, several schemes have been launched to encourage the women.
