Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has announced that her Government will bring a new law making the death penalty mandatory for those, who rape minors.
Ms Mufti assured people of the state that she stands committed for justice to the eight-year-old minor rape victim, who was allegedly raped and murdered at village Rassana in Hiranagar tehsil of Kathua district in Jammu region in January this year.
As per information received, the Chief Minister’s announcement came in a couple of tweets last night.
